The title of this post is inaccurate. Nowhere in the article does the RIAA state that it is illegal to rip CDs into an iPod. Instead, they sidestep the question by stating that the legality of ripping CDs is a separate question that is not the subject of the current discussion.

The fact that anyone takes this guy seriously is a testimony to how uneducated American society has become. An off-topic fun fact: Newt completed his doctorate in History from an unpresitgious college. His PhD was on Educational Reform in the Belgian Congo.

This explains the delays I have been experiencing lately. Just another sign that Netflix is losing its edge. Reducing the level of service and expecting customer to take it lying down shows how out-of-touch they are with their user base.
